Flexure Testers

Instron bend testers, or flex testers, are used to determine the flexural strength of various materials from plastics to composites. These flexure testing systems utilize various technologies to apply a range of bending forces. Standard forces can be applied with an electromechanical tester while higher bending loads require a static hydraulic system. Dynamic systems are a good fit for customers looking to perform fatigue tests as well as static flexure tests.

Most Popular Flexure Testers

  • Engineered for Precision
  • Built for Durability
  • Flexibility to Change
  • Designed for Usability
The 5900 Series offers exceptional performance packaged in innovative frames, designed with enhancements that deliver superior accuracy and reliability, improved ergonomics, and an enhanced overall experience for the operator.
  • DX/HDX Models feature a dual test space design which makes changing between tension and compression testing safe and efficient
  • The load frame, hydraulic power supply, and controller combined in a single package on DX Models saves valuable floor space
  • Capacities available from 150 kN (33,750 lbf) to 1,500 kN (300,000 lbf)
  • Capacity is up to 10 kN (2250 lbf)
  • Linear-Torsion Model
  • All-Electric Dynamic Test Instruments
ElectroPuls™ systems use patented linear motor technology to offer slow-speed static testing and high-frequency dynamic fatigue testing with hundreds of Hertz capability. Running from only a single-phase electrical connection to the wall, ElectroPuls systems are dynamic testing machines that do not have the environmental impact of conventional servohydraulic technologies.
